Ficus abutilifolia

Also known as the “Broadleaf Rock Fig”. When young, it is a bushy shrub, which over time becomes a tree up to 10-15 meters high. It is a plant, which is highly appreciated by green collectors for the particular shape of its trunk, and its versatility as a bonsai. In its natural habitat, it grows on steep rocky slopes, as its roots can reach a depth of about sixty meters to find water sources. Its leaves are very large and thin, of a lanceolate shape, which form a rounded, diffuse but rather sparse crown.
