Ferocactus pottsii f. variegated

Generally solitary globose cactus, that with the time can accestire to the base. The body, green-greyish, has well defined ribs and is equipped with tubercles, on which come out large round white areoles. The variegated shape presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique! The radial spines are whitish, sparse and straight, while the central ones are slightly longer and more robust. During the summer on the apical part creates a crown with fantastic funnel-shaped flowers, yellowish in color with wonderful orange shades.
