Ferocactus pottsii

It is a globular cactus, generally solitary, which over time can cluster at the base. The greyish-green body has well defined ribs due to the tubercles, on which large round white areoles emerge. Its radial spines are sparse and straight, of a whitish color, while the central ones are slightly longer. During summer, a crown of fantastic funnel-shaped flowers blooms on the apical part of the plant; the flowers are of a yellowish color with orange shades.
