Ferocactus gracilis f. variegated

In its variegated shape, F. gracilis shows some particular characteristics related to its variegation. In fact, every variegated exemplar is unique and you will never find two matching ones. It has a dark green globose stem, characterised by tuberculate ribs and woolly, white, areoles from which emerge radial and central spines. The first, are yellow and long, while the central ones are red, robust and hooked. During the flowering period, in spring-summer, it gives us some beautiful funnel-shaped red flowers.
