Ferocactus chrysacanthus f. variegated

The variegated shape of this cactaceae presents the typical yellow zones at the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: such zones will never be the same from one exemplar to another. For this reason each plant is so sought after and wanted by the true connoisseurs. It is a small cactus with a solitary posture, occasionally with a prolific shape, which can reach a maximum of six heads. Its stem is globose, similar to a barrel and has tuberculated ribs, on which are present white and woolly areoles. From these ones come out white radial thorns that are long and thin. The central thorns are very thick, twisted and hooked, with a golden-yellow color. In summer it produces beautiful orange-yellow flowers that wonderfully crown the apex of the cactus.
