Named in 1894 by Ferdinand Albin Pax in 1894, the Euphorbia trichadenia is a perennial plant, characterized by a caudiciform base, which produces green herbaceous stems, branched at the base, which overall take on a hair-like appearance (hence its name 'trichadenia' from the Greek words "trichos" - "hair" and "aden" - "gland"). Narrow and acute leaves emerge from the stems, enriched, during the flowering season, by small, very particular greenish flowers.
