Euphorbia tortilis

Euphorbia tortilis is a plant with twisted and segmented spiral-shaped stems, with extremely short, hard and sharp thorns. In its natural habitat, these characteristics make it a perfect shelter for nesting birds to use against predators. Although its strength and stiffness make it a fantastic addition to any sunny backyard or desert garden, it grows well in containers too and can even be treated as a home decor plant.
