It is a succulent plant, considered rare, due to its shape and the particularly small size of the stems, compared to Euphorbia submammillaris. It produces countless small and tapered twigs without thorns, located very close to each other, almost forming a pillow. The color of the plant, typically green, can change to purple, when exposed to intense light or in dry cold conditions.
