Euphorbia purpurea

Succulent with a very peculiar look and a remarkable chromatic impact. Formed by thin stems that reach a maximum height of about one meter, they are equipped with long and lanceolate leaves, pointed at the apex, which grow opposite each other until they give life to a kind of well open rosette. What is most striking at first glance is undoubtedly the coloring of E. purpurea: as the very name of the species suggests, its epidermis is tinged with wonderful purple or burgundy tones, tending to change considerably during the seasons to take on dark green shades. The charm of this succulent is greatly accentuated when, in spring, very long-lasting lime yellow inflorescences bloom, pleasantly contrasting with the dark tones of the foliage and making the plant impossible to miss!
