Euphorbia plagiantha

This Euphorbia species is definitely out of the ordinary. In the wild it tends to grow rapidly until it takes on the size of a real and proper tree in which the stem, initially thin and succulent, tends to lignify with growth. It assumes a strongly branched posture right from the start, with long and thin leaves, cylindrical in shape and pointed at the apex. The emerald green skin is almost completely opaque by a sort of whitish wax that covers it, giving it a characteristic slightly greyish color and a rather rough texture to the touch.
