Euphorbia phosphorea

It is a branching shrub plant that can reach up to 2 m in height, while in nature it can grow up to 6 m! It has numerous erect and hairless stems, of a cylindrical shape, about 1-3 cm in diameter, of a bluish-green color. The name of the species derives from the fact that the plant can emit a phosphorescent light, thanks to its milky sap. During the flowering period, it blooms with dull red flowers (rarely yellow).
