Splendid succulent, consisting of small stems that do not reach considerable heights, but rather tend to develop in clusters of several closely spaced stems, taking on the appearance of a wonderful opaque green cushion. Extremely similar to a cactus, it has 4 well-marked longitudinal ribs, equipped with very close white areoles that almost create a continuous white line, as if to highlight the borders. Only rarely do a few small clear thorns come out here and there, sometimes two per areola. On the whole, E. makallensis, due to its geometric perfection and its drawn edges, seems almost a magnificent sculpture, perfect for decorating rooms of any style!
