Euphorbia ferox

It's a small succulent shrub, which over time tends to lignify and branch out at the base. Its robust green colored stems tend to take on a columnar habit. Its stems are well defined by vertical ribs surrounded by numerous and dense greyish spines. During the flowering period it blooms with small yellow-orange flowers that cover the apex of the plant.
