Euphorbia abdelkuri f. crestata

The crested form of this succulent plant has the typical very fleshy and compact fan arrangement, adorned with many small pointed tubercles that make it similar to a diamond with multiple points. This jewel artificially created is also called "Milk-bush" due to the latex inside the plant which is rather poisonous and, unlike other Euphorbias, is yellow in color. In its normal form it is a very rare and extremely slow growing succulent plant, which is why it is sought after by collectors all over the world. In the wild it grows in the semi-desert of Abd al Kuri and from which it derives its name E. abdelkuri. The cylindrical stem resembles a candle thanks also to its thick, waxy and grayish skin. This thornless succulent plant features 6 ribs.
