Epithelantha petri

Miniature cactaceae which does not exceed a height of 7-8 cm but due to its explosion of details, certainly does not pass unnoticed. E.petri looks very similar to E. micromeris but it has, however, more cylindrical stems of a nice dark green, from which are shown small roundish areoles and also microscopic yellowish thorns wrapping the whole body of the cactus. It is easily distinguished, besides for its overall appearance less whitish and more tending to yellow; also for the amazing pale yellow flowers, which bloom at the apex taking the tonalities of the thorns.
