It looks like a small globular cactus in miniature. It is characterized by numerous tubercles, laden with white downy areoles, from which dense and small ash-white-gray spines emerge. Due to this characteristic, it takes on the more common name of the “ping-pong ball” plant. From February to April, it blooms with small pink flowers from its downy apex.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.
The best one is a very well-draining soil specific for cacti.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
