Description:

This is a very peculiar cactus, not constituted by the typical shape with which we imagine a cactus, but in some respects resembling a succulent! It is made up of thin woody stems covered with down that come out directly from the root tuber, turning into rigid and perfectly smooth leaves, elongated and tending to assume a wavy trend and similar to a real curl (hence the name of the cultivar). Contributes to the leaf movement a jagged and asymmetrical margin, almost drawn by a sort of whitish line that distinguishes it, which makes each leaf even more three-dimensional and creates a pleasant chromatic contrast with the lively bright green of the epidermis. This species has a decidedly slow growth, but the show that it will produce will definitely be worth the wait!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce watering to once every two months in autumn, and to suspend it completely in winter.

The perfect soil is a highly draining and porous one, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that it does not stagnate the water.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
