A succulent perennial Stapelioid, commonly known as "Dragon horns" for its particular angular shape or "Persian carpet" for its peculiar flower pattern. Its crested shape is more unique than rare, highly appreciated and sought after by green collectors. Its brick-red stem is surrounded by numerous pointed and lignified tubercles at the apex.
