Art. 31463
It is a globular cactus with a solitary habit that tends to cluster over time. Its stem of an opaque light green color, has multiple well furrowed ribs. It differs from E. subdenudata with its much downier areoles. The spines are very short, of a brownish-cream color, which are often absent. The flowering period is in spring-summer, when, on long stems, generated by the areoles, its enormous nocturnal flowers, of a more or less intense pink color, bloom.
