Echinopsis multiplex

It is a globular cactus with a solitary habit, which tends to cluster over time. Its stem, of an opaque light green color, has multiple well furrowed ribs, equipped with sparse whitish slightly downy areoles. The spines are short, stiff, straight, of a greyish color. The flowering period is in spring-summer, when, on long stems, generated by the areoles, its huge flowers of a more or less intense pink color bloom.
