It’s a solitary-bearing globose cactus that, over time, tends to glow. Its stem, of opaque dark green color, has multiple well furrowed ribs, equipped with sparse areoles of whitish color slightly fluffy. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique! The radial spines are rigid, straight and greyish, whilst the central spines are brownish, longer and tending upwards. During the flowering season, on long stems generated by the areolas bloom its huge white flowers.
