The monstrous shape of a cactus presents anomalies in shape such as asymmetries or lack of thorns, particular characteristics of each plant as they never present the same in different plants making each of them unique in its kind. in the normal form E. eyriesii looks like a globose cactus with a solitary posture that brightens with time. Its stem is equipped with numerous furrowed ribs above which are the white and fluffy areoles. From the latter come out its thick thorns, thin whitish in color. During the flowering season, on long stems generated by areolas bloom huge multilayered flowers, white with pink shades.
