Echinopsis chacoana (the scientific name is Echinopsis rhodotricha subs. Chacoana) is a globular cactus with a solitary habit which, over time, tends to cluster. Its stem, of an opaque light green color, has multiple well furrowed ribs, equipped with sparse whitish, slightly downy areoles. The radial spines are rigid, straight and greyish in color, while the central ones are brownish, longer, tending upwards. During the flowering season, its huge white flowers bloom on long stems, generated by the areoles.
