Echinofossulocactus wippermanni

It is a small cactaceae plant with a solitary habit, which can occasionally cluster at the base. Its stem, light green, tending to olive green, concave at the apex, has multiple slender, well furrowed ribs of a very wavy shape, equipped with white downy areoles. The radial spines are thin, of a white color, while the brownish-yellow central spines are much longer and stiffer, of a flat shape, which tend to grow upwards. Flowering occurs at the apex of the plant, generating small funnel-shaped flowers of a white color with purple veins.
