Echinofossulocactus vaupelianus f. crestata

The crested form of this cactus has the typical fan shape that makes each specimen absolutely unique, never identical to another and for this reason so much appreciated by collectors. In its normal form it is a small cactacea with a solitary habit, which can occasionally cluster at the base. Its stem, light green in color tending to olive green and slightly concave at the top, has multiple slender ribs, prominent and very wavy in shape, with white woolly areolas. The radial spines are thin and white in color, while the central spines are much longer, yellowish and growing upwards.
