Echinofossulocactus vaupelianus

It is a small cactaceae plant with a solitary habit, which can occasionally cluster at the base. Its stem, light green, tending to olive green, slightly concave at the apex, has multiple slender, well furrowed ribs of a very wavy shape, equipped with very downy white areoles. The radial spines are thin, of a white color, while the yellow central spines are much longer, which tend to grow upwards. Flowering occurs at the apex of the plant, generating small funnel-shaped flowers of a greenish-yellow or, occasionally, purple color.
