Echinofossulocactus pentacanthus f. crested

This specimen of cactus in the crested form shows a very particular fan crest and with a unique shape that will never be identical in different plants; this feature makes each crested specimen very appreciated and sought after by collectors around the world. In the normal form, Echinofossulocactus pentacanthus has a solitary posture and can occasionally turn on the base. It is called 'pentacanthus' which means "five spines" as it typically has five spines per areola. Its stem, of light green colour tending to olive green, concave at the apex, has multiple slender ribs, well furrowed and with a very wavy shape, equipped with white lanate areolas. The flowering takes place at the apex of the plant, generating small funnel-shaped flowers with a pale pink color with purple central streaks.
