Echinofossulocactus grandicornis

It is a globular cactus with a solitary habit, which can occasionally be clustered at the base. Its light green, tending to olive green, stem, concave at the apex, has multiple slender, well-furrowed and wavy-shaped ribs, equipped with large white downy areoles. The radial spines are thin, straight, of a white color, while the central ones are much larger, long and flat, slightly curved downwards. Flowering occurs in summer at the apex of the plant, generating small, funnel-shaped flowers of a pale pink color with purple and red central streaks.
