Cactacea with a decidedly peculiar look, not present in nature but obtained in the nursery by the crossing between two different specimens of the same genus. The plant is globose in shape, slightly depressed at the apex, but with the growth can take on a slightly columnar appearance. The stem, of a lively emerald green, is adorned by a multitude of wavy longitudinal ribs, strongly pronounced and close together. From roundish and white areolas come out clear, slender and short radial spines, which are radially arranged; the central spines, which face outwards or upwards, are instead wide and flat, of a cream yellow or brownish color, strongly pointed and sometimes even 5-6 cm long! Overall, this cactus appears with a strongly dynamic character due to the wonderful contrast that is generated between the straight spines and the waves of the stem, which is made even more elegant by the large white or pink flowers that bloom in summer at its peak.
