Echinofossulocactus crispatus

It is a solitary globular cactus, slightly depressed at the apex, particularly appreciated all over the world for its remarkable ornamental abilities. In fact, it has very peculiar characteristics, starting from its very thick and wavy ribs, to which showy flat and long spines are added. These spines cover a large part of the plant's body, are of variable colors, ranging from white to brownish. Between spring and summer, showy funnel-shaped flowers bloom from the flattened apex. Although they are not very large, they catch the attention with their pink and purple streaked colors, pleasantly contrasting with the dark green of the plant!
