Echinofossulocactus caespitosus

It is a globular cactus that becomes cylindrical with age. It is generally solitary, but over time it can cluster at the base - a characteristic from which the name of the species derives. Its bright green stem has wavy ribs with very downy areoles, from which 3 central spines grow upwards, they are very long and flattened, of a yellow or reddish color, while the radial spines of a white color are present only on the mature plants. The flowering season begins in early spring, when the plant produces white or yellowish flowers with a central strip of a bright pink color.
