Echinofossulocactus albatus f. monstrous

The monstrous shape of this cactus presents geometric anomalies, for example asymmetrical protuberances or absence of spines, different for each individual exemplar, so much so as to make each of them absolutely unique and for this extremely sought after by collectors. In its normal form it is a globose cactus with a solitary posture which may occasionally be turned on; its pale green opaque stem, concave at the apex, has several slender ribs, well grooved and with wavy shape, equipped with white fluffy areoles. The radial spines are thin, straight and whitish, whilst the central spines are brownish-yellow, longer and stiffer, tending upwards. The flowering takes place at the apex of the plant, generating small funnel-shaped white flowers with yellow-greenish central shades.
