Echinocereus subinermis

A solitary cactus that tends to cluster over time. It has a green stem with well-defined ribs and small spines, which grow at the edge of each rib, and that are initially of a yellow color, then fade to black. In spring/summer, large funnel-shaped, cream-yellow flowers bloom.
