Echinocereus scopulorum

Beautiful cactus with a globose or cylindrical shape. Its dark green stem is erect, with slight ribs and covered entirely by thorns. In fact, its thorns are very thick, intertwined and of colours that vary between white, yellow, red and brown. The areoles are woolly and whitish. During the flowering period, spring-summer, we can observe the magnificent large flowers with bright colors such as fuchsia and purple; with green tones in the center and yellow pistils. E. scopulorum is very often considered similar, even synonymous to Echinocereus pseudopectinatus.
