Description:

Beautiful cactacea of small size, which does not exceed four centimeters in diameter and maintains a globular shape, tending to clump with growth. The spherical stem, opaque green in color, is furrowed by light ribs from which evident white thorns emerge, which are very short but arranged in an exactly symmetrical way. The variegated shape of this cactus has the typical yellow areas in the exact points where chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. It is a rather slow-growing plant, which, due to its size, is perfect to grow in pots and will amaze you with its inflorescences generally of a beautiful pink color, so large that they cover the entire stem: a real and own spectacle of nature!

Plant care:

It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.

A medium porous substrate, consisting of soil mixed with sand, which makes it well draining. is an optimal solution.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
