Beautiful cactus, very appreciated by collectors for its pink thorns and for the beautiful magenta/fuchsia flowers. E. pseudopectinatus has a green cylindrical stem entirely covered with thorns. From the areolas, in fact, thin and short radial thorns come out; the central ones are more robust and longer with pink and white shades. The magnificent flowers of E. pseudopectinatus can be admired during the Spring; they grow at the apex of the plant with elongated and delicate fuchsia petals. The name of this cactus comes from the Latin and literally means "thorny candle", in reference to the columnar posture of the plant, similar to that of the Cereus but with a more spiny stem.
