Echinocereus pentalophus f. variegated

The variegated shape of this cactus presents yellow areas where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such spots will never be identical in different plants, making each of them unique and for this reason very sought after by collectors. In its normal form it is a cylindrical cactus consisting of erect and narrow stems of dark green color, branching at the base. It has tuberculate ribs equipped with small and sparse round areoles, from which emerge a few whitish thorns, straight, short and star-shaped. During spring it produces funnel-shaped flowers of magenta color.
