Echinocereus longisetus

It is a cactaceae with a solitary habit, but over time it can also cluster at the base. The globular, green stem  has thin tuberculous ribs, equipped with yellowish round areoles. From these areoles spines emerge: the radial ones are white, fine and long; the central ones are instead thin, curved downwards and dense like some sort of a down, of a color that varies from white to brownish. In spring, it blooms with small bell-shaped flowers of a pink-purple or purple color.
