Echinocereus enneacanthus

It is a cylindrical cactus with a columnar habit. The light green stem, which can branch off at the base, has tubercles with round, slightly downy areoles. From these areoles spines come out: the creamy white radial ones are straight, arranged in a star form; the amber colored central ones are instead very long and tend upwards. In spring, large funnel-shaped flowers bloom, which vary in color, ranging from pink to purple-red.
