Echinocereus coccineus

It is a cylindrical cactaceae, made up of numerous colonies of thick light green stems. It has tubercles with round areoles. From these areoles straight brownish-yellow spines emerge, which are arranged in a star form, are of variable length. During late spring, funnel-shaped flowers bloom in multiple colors, ranging from pink-orange to bright red.
