Echinocereus baileyi f. crested

The crested shape of this cactus presents the very particular fan crest which will never be identical in different plants, making each of them unique in its kind and for this reason highly appreciated by collectors around the world . In its normal form, E. baileyi is a solitary cactus that, over time, can tuft at the base. Its stem is cylindrical, intense green and has thin ribs. On the latter there are large and fluffy areolas. The E. baileyi spines are long brownish and tending downwards. Large, magenta-pink funnel-shaped flowers with jagged petals bloom in spring.
