Echinocereus baileyi

It is a cactaceae with a solitary habit that can also cluster at the base. The cylindrical, intense green stem has thin ribs, defined by large, round and extremely downy areoles. From these areoles its characteristic brownish spines emerge (from which the name derives), which are rather long and that tend downwards. During spring, large, funnel-shaped, magenta-pink flowers with jagged petals bloom.
