Description:

This is an unusually spontaneous exemplar of cultivar, a probable cross coming from E. pinwheel and therefore constituted, as the name of the parent itself shows, by a rosette of pleasantly symmetrical and roundish shape, like a pinwheel when viewed from above. The foliage, unlike the plant of origin, takes an absolutely original shape: the leaves are long and lanceolate, rather fleshy and tend to the apex to bend upwards and on themselves with a small final tip. The epidermis is of a pleasant greyish-glaucous, but tends to take on greener tones and shades of pink when it is abundantly exposed to sunlight. To enrich the appearance of this succulent so peculiar contribute its pretty bell-shaped flowers on the notes of red and orange, for a chromatic contrast with a strong visual impact, which will certainly not go unnoticed!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
