Description:

The variegated shape of this succulent has the typical lighter areas in the exact points where chlorophyll is absent; these areas will never be identical from one plant to another, thus making each specimen absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. It is a very common and loved hybrid, considered one of the oldest, artificially created in the mid-nineteenth century from the union between Echeveria glauca and Echeveria gibbiflora var. metallic. It is so much appreciated for its extreme adaptability to all environments, combined with a perfectly geometric appearance consisting of rosettes with the appearance of a wonderful flower flattened at the top. It has an unusual bluish color, opacified by the whitish bloom that covers it and enriched by pink margins (for this very particular color it takes the name of 'Blue Rose'). Perhaps not many know that this succulent was in the past commonly and jokingly called "Echeveria imbricata hens and chicks", to identify one of its main characteristics: it is a plant that multiplies very quickly, forming numerous tufts of smaller rosettes around the succulent mother, which help to confer charm and enrich its timeless beauty!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
