Echeveria 'Giant blue'

We are talking about a plant not present in nature, but obtained in a nursery by the union of two different exemplars of Echeveria, to obtain a new pleasant succulent arranged in a rather open rosette that can exceed even 50 cm in diameter! The leaves are flat and wide, of roundish shape and finely wavy especially along the margins, which are jagged and discontinuous. The epidermis assumes a greyish-glaucous colouration enriched by showy pinkish shades along the margins, which are much more accentuated when the succulent is exposed to abundant sunlight. The union between the bluish hue of the foliage and the ample size of the rosette gives life to a specimen so original and appreciated to confer to the species a particularly distinctive name: the "blue giant"!
