Echeveria derenbergii

Very well known succulent, appreciated all over the world for ornamental purposes, often used as parent plant from which to obtain wonderful hybrids. It has the typical very compact rosette arrangement, similar almost to a showy colored pine cone. It does not exceed the 10 cm of height but tends, at the base, to quickly produce new rosettes, obtaining in a short time a carpet of multiple heads from the remarkable scenographic effect. Its leaves are small and fleshy, with a triangular shape. The pointed apex of each of them is highlighted even more by the reddish hue that paints the foliar margins, pleasantly contrasting with the rest of the epidermis of a pale glaucous green. At the beginning of summer the charm of this rosette is even more accentuated by lively cup-shaped flowers, which bloom at the apex of long stems dyeing this wonder of nature with yellow notes tinged with red!
