Description:

Wonderful succulent not present in nature, but obtained in a nursery by the crossing of two different specimens of Echeveria still unknown. With the typical rosette disposition, it has spoon-shaped leaves, wide and fleshy, ending in a noticeable point. The most striking feature of E. ‘Blue prince’, which also gives the name to the specie, is undoubtedly the peculiar epidermis shade: it takes on marvelous bluish tones, tending to change drastically according to the seasons until it is enriched with pleasant pinkish-purple shades along the edges when it is abundantly exposed to sunlight. In late spring the chromatic contrast that originates between its light blue and the showy yellow-orange flowers is extraordinary! The overall effect obtained is absolutely unique, elegant and original at the same time.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
