Commonly known also as "climbing onion", this exemplar has a decidedly unusual and original look. It’s made up of a partially underground globe-shaped bulb, generally a nice light green hidden by whitish paper layers of old leaves that protect it. Extremely thin stems (with a diameter of a few millimeters) branch out from the bulb and develop with very peculiar branches: each small segment of the stem grows at right angles to the previous segment giving rise to a kind of extremely articulated network, tending to take on a climbing appearance in the presence of a support or pleasantly hanging in hanging pots. At the beginning of summer this jewel generates small whitish flowers that open at night and create a strong and pleasant contrast in the midst of the filiform structure of the complex!
