Cyphostemma juttae

It is a slow growing shrubby caudiciform plant, which over time forms a woody base (caudex). Its light green stem can grow up to 2 meters in height and acts as a water reservoir during drought periods, while in summer it is entirely covered with a thin paper layer, which protects it. It has branches almost as large as the stem itself, with deciduous leaves (which fall off during the dormant period) that are large, fleshy, with toothed margins, of a green color with purple hues.
