The name of this species derives from the Greek and literally means "lover of the cliff", referring to the habitat of origin of the succulent which grows among the rocks. It is a small specimen, made up of pairs of leaves stacked on top of each other; with an obovate and compact shape, the overall appearance of the plant is that of a hemispherical body. The epidermis is of a beautiful glaucous green, enriched with white hairs along the edges, so thick that it seems adorned only with such white edges. Between spring and summer the charm of this succulent is amplified by graceful globular inflorescences in the delicate shades of white and pink.
